Extension Name: SchoolZones Australia — Catchment & Ranking Overlay

1. Single Purpose & Core Functionality

The SchoolZones Australia — Catchment & Ranking Overlay Chrome Extension exists solely to overlay official Australian public school catchment boundaries, academic rankings (VCE / HSC / QCE study scores), and point-in-polygon zone verification directly onto interactive maps on Australian property portals (realestate.com.au, domain.com.au, and property.com.au).

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

No Browsing History: We do not track, store, or transmit your browsing history, tabs, or visited URLs outside the supported property portals.
No Passive Tracking: When you browse property listings, search suburbs, or navigate maps, no personal data is collected or transmitted to any third party.
No Analytics Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics trackers, session recording tools, or fingerprinting scripts.

3. Information You Voluntarily Provide (Optional Lead Capture)

The extension includes an optional feature where users may request an in-zone property report, mortgage broker consultation, or address verification certificate.

Data Collected Upon Form Submission: If and only if you fill out and submit the voluntary contact form, we collect: Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Buyer Readiness Stage, and Selected School Catchment.
Purpose: This information is used solely to respond to your request and connect you with qualified local buyer advocates or mortgage specialists.
Never Sold: Your contact information is never sold to marketing databases, ad networks, or data brokers.

4. Local Browser Storage

The extension uses Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API solely to store your personal interface preferences on your device (selected catchment level, active state filter, ranking threshold filters, and visual opacity). This data never leaves your local browser.

5. Third-Party Network Communications

To deliver map boundary overlays and school rankings efficiently, the extension communicates with our Spatial Catchment API. The request sends only bounding box coordinates (minLat, maxLat, minLng, maxLng) to retrieve public boundary polygons. No user identifiers or tracking cookies are attached.
